Synod of Bishops Meets in Jordanville

The Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad held a regular session from Tuesday, September 6, to Wednesday, September, 7, 2005. These meetings, the first to be held in Jordanville in a number of years, were held in the Graduation Hall of Holy Trinity Seminary. The participating members of the Synod of Bishops were His Eminence, Metropolitan Laurus, President of the Synod of Bishops, the Most Reverend Archbishops Alypy of Chicago, Mark of Berlin, and Kyrill of San Francisco and the Rt. Reverend Bishop Gabriel, Secretary of the Synod of Bishops. Joining the sessions were the Rt. Reverend Bishops Michael of Boston, Agapit of Stuttgart, and Peter of Cleveland. Among the clergy who made presentations to the Synod of Bishops were Archpriest Alexander Lebedev (class of 1971), Archpriest Stefan Pavlenko (class of 1971), and Priest Serafim Gan (class of 1996).
